About Me

I always loved sports, movement and activity and was always considered the "sporty" one at school, representing the school and local organisations in netball and athletics. I decided pretty young at the age of 11 that I wanted to become a dancer, but at that point I hadn’t even taken my first dance class. I enrolled myself into jazz dance classes at 14 years old and it all evolved from there.

At 18 I went to professional dance college and upon graduating built a career as a professional dancer and dance teacher, qualifying as a Professional Dancer and Teacher of Dance and Dance Movement. I performed internationally for artists, on shows, as a member of dance companies, for special occasions/events and teaching dance in dance studios, schools and gyms along the way.

I have been dancing and teaching dance for 15 years and I have been teaching from 4 years old up to elderly ages. The dance styles I mainly teach are Street Dance, Contemporary, Latin, Bollywood, Belly Dance, First Wedding Dances, Hen Parties and Confidence Building Classes.

I teach group classes and private lessons.

I found the practice of yoga through my dance career and it was a beautiful change from my usual training style. I fell in love with the practice and wanted to take it further and train as a Yoga teacher, knowing it would complement my skills and add a nice variety to my teaching portfolio.

I have been practicing yoga for the last 10 years and teaching yoga for the last 5 years. I qualified as a Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher and a Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga and Mother and Baby Yoga Teacher. I have been teaching in private schools, yoga and dance studios, online, at community events and private classes, for all age ranges.

Alongside Dance and Yoga, Fitness is also a huge part of my life. I weight train between 4-6 times a week in the gym and try to walk as often as I can. Activity is my way of life and my love for all forms of movement continues through my work. I get tremendous pleasure and proudness watching my students grow and achieve their goals.

I believe movement is medicine for the mind, body and soul.
